Sambo Kojin Eastwood

Another smokeless grill buffet joins the restaurant world! Sambo Kojin is a Japanese-Korean buffet from the makers of Dad's/Saisaki.

Sauces are already on the table. I recommend you try the Sambo Kojin sauce.

Just like any Korean restaurant, Korean appetizers!

Kimchi and Miso soup.

The Sushi buffet! What I like best about their buffet is that they make sure that the food is replenished. There's a manager beside us directing the sushi chefs to replenish.

Here's my disorganized sushi plate.

Raw meat

Grilling seafood

There are also Tempura and a lot more Japanese dishes I wasn't able to take pictures of.

The dessert table. With big scoop ice cream!

At P595 per person, this is already a good buffet. If you're a fan of Yakimix, you should try this because it's similar and much better!

Mr. Jones Greenbelt 5

When you enter Mr. Jones, you feel like you're in an old fashioned diner. Red leather seats, jukebox, and old toys. It's one of my favorite restaurants!

Hot and Spicy Shrimp Scampi P295

Lip Lickin' Seafood Bites and Chews P395

Wicked Truffled Mac n' Cheese P395

When I first heard of Mac n' Cheese, I wasn't interested at all. But this is a different kind of Mac n' Cheese, probably because it's 'truffled'. It's sooo good. Don't order one for yourself though, it's good for sharing. I ordered one for myself the second time I went here and I can't even finish it. Nakakaumay.

US. Beef Ribcap "Tapa and Garlic" Overload P295

A lot of people have been raving about their Tapa, but I think I didn't appreciate it as much because there was a lot of food on the table. It's a hundred bucks cheaper than most of the dishes though so it's not that bad.

Grilled Bone on Maple Glazed Pork Chops and Apple Sauce P450

This was also one of my favorites. It was a bit sweet but I liked it. I also loved that pumpkin puree.

Melted "Old Bay" Crab and Dory Thermidor P395

If you're sharing your dishes, you might as well try this the first. The other dishes sort of overpowered it, but it was still good!

Big Smackin' Slow Roasted Southern U.S Beef Ribs P595
It doesn't look big smackin in my photo. HAHAHA. Ribs are my favorite! But it's pricey.

Mr. Jones is from the creators of Chelsea. It's relatively expensive but the food is good! I didn't even dislike anything from the numerous dishes we ordered.

HK Choi Megamall

HK Choi is operated by the same restaurant management group that brought us Choi Garden, a really good yet expensive restaurant! HK Choi is the cheaper counterpart and it did not disappoint.

Jellyfish and pork cold cuts

Typical cold cuts that I love.

Looks like Nido soup. Hahaha.

Taro Puff P90

Hot Prawn Salad P300

My favorite! I love hot prawn salad. This is one of the better hot prawn salads I've tasted. Was it as good as Choi Garden? No. But is it good for the price? YES!

Roast Duck P320

I wasn't too sold on their roast duck because it was oily. I love me some duck but this was one of my least favorites.

Beef w/ Brocolli P240

We always need some vegetables in the menu! It was good but the beef was too salty!

Noodles P200

I never liked noodles, and I never ever will! Their noodles are not bad though.

Fukien Fried Rice P220

Would you look at that, it doesn't even look like a rice dish! I loved it. Kanin pa lang, ulam na!

Taho P90 (good for 4)

Overall, I was satisfied with HK Choi. There were misses but you get what you pay for! It's a good inexpensive Chinese restaurant. :)

Andrew Garfield as the new spidey!

Here's a sneakpeak of Andrew Garfield wearing the spiderman costume! I think he's a bit too thin in spidey mode. Nevertheless, he looks HOT! I'm excited to see his take on spiderman. It's hard to follow in Tobey Maguire's footsteps though!

7 Corners Crowne Plaza

It's been a loooong time since I last updated this blog! I was just so busy the past few months especially because of those nasty summer classes that ate my whole summer. :( Anyway, since I'm at home sick with a bloated tummy, I might as well post pictures of my brother's birthday celebration yesterday...which means FOOD!

We already celebrated his birthday last week but 7 corners has this awesome 50% off promo for cardholders every Monday and since his real birthday falls on a Monday, we just had to celebrate again! YAY.

7 corners!

Hello rock lobsters and oysters!

Other sea food!

Their wasabi look happy don't they?

Their uni was one of the best I've ever tasted!

Rib-eye steak and lamb with mint jelly. Loved the lamb.

1/3 of the dessert station.

My dessert!

It actually tastes better than it looks! Except for the cookie though. I was expecting soft and chewy but that was tough and blah.

Okay that was just a fraction of everything I've eaten. The food was still great and I didn't feel the umay I usually do when I eat at buffets. 7 Corners, I shall return!

Mr. Kurosawa Eastwood

This was my dearest friend Kerwin's birthday treat. So I still get to post food pictures even though I'm bankrupt! AHIHIHI.

Let's start of with our drink!

Strawberry Yakult - I always loved yakult. Imagine a WHOLE glass of yakult with strawberry flavor! Very refreshing!

Philadelphia Roll

Dynamite Roll

Dragon Roll

Bacon Enoki - not really my favorite, maybe because I shoved it in my mouth and couldn't swallow it whole.

Beef Enoki

Chicken Teriyaki and Mango Pizza - must try!

Japanese Carbonara

Ebi Fry Pesto - doesn't look like pesto doesn't it?

Ebi Tempura

Green Chicken - this was pretty good too.

Overall rating = 4 out of 5 stars

I lost my wallet!

Money, school ID, credit card, pictures, new wallet my bro just gave me and some precious receipts that I want to keep..are now GONE! I guess I won't be eating out for a while. Byebye food updates. :(

Because I'm frustrated, I'll just post a picture I took last week.

Krispy Kreme! The two missing donuts were already in the stomachs of two hungry people.
