7 Corners Crowne Plaza

It's been a loooong time since I last updated this blog! I was just so busy the past few months especially because of those nasty summer classes that ate my whole summer. :( Anyway, since I'm at home sick with a bloated tummy, I might as well post pictures of my brother's birthday celebration yesterday...which means FOOD!

We already celebrated his birthday last week but 7 corners has this awesome 50% off promo for cardholders every Monday and since his real birthday falls on a Monday, we just had to celebrate again! YAY.

7 corners!

Hello rock lobsters and oysters!

Other sea food!

Their wasabi look happy don't they?

Their uni was one of the best I've ever tasted!

Rib-eye steak and lamb with mint jelly. Loved the lamb.

1/3 of the dessert station.

My dessert!

It actually tastes better than it looks! Except for the cookie though. I was expecting soft and chewy but that was tough and blah.

Okay that was just a fraction of everything I've eaten. The food was still great and I didn't feel the umay I usually do when I eat at buffets. 7 Corners, I shall return!

Mr. Kurosawa Eastwood

This was my dearest friend Kerwin's birthday treat. So I still get to post food pictures even though I'm bankrupt! AHIHIHI.

Let's start of with our drink!

Strawberry Yakult - I always loved yakult. Imagine a WHOLE glass of yakult with strawberry flavor! Very refreshing!

Philadelphia Roll

Dynamite Roll

Dragon Roll

Bacon Enoki - not really my favorite, maybe because I shoved it in my mouth and couldn't swallow it whole.

Beef Enoki

Chicken Teriyaki and Mango Pizza - must try!

Japanese Carbonara

Ebi Fry Pesto - doesn't look like pesto doesn't it?

Ebi Tempura

Green Chicken - this was pretty good too.

Overall rating = 4 out of 5 stars

I lost my wallet!

Money, school ID, credit card, pictures, new wallet my bro just gave me and some precious receipts that I want to keep..are now GONE! I guess I won't be eating out for a while. Byebye food updates. :(

Because I'm frustrated, I'll just post a picture I took last week.

Krispy Kreme! The two missing donuts were already in the stomachs of two hungry people.

Pasto Greenhills

I have nothing to say. I just want to post food pictures. Hahaha.

Crostini with chicken pate (P125)

Pizza Margherita (P195)

Arrabiata (P195)
I think this picture shows how SMALL the serving is. YEAH RIGHT WAITER, 1-2 persons my foot! I expected it anyway.

Gamberi Rossa (P255)

And last but not the least..my favorite dessert of all!

California Berry Froyo! (P115 with 3 toppings)
Blueberry and kiwi are my constant toppings. The third one always varies.

I really suggest you add blueberry with syrup to your froyo because it neutralizes the tangy taste of the yoghurt. :)

Dimsum love

We always pass by DEC Greenhills to get some dimsum.

Coldcuts

Honest to goodness siomai! Only P150 for 14 pcs!

Shrimp-filled hakaw! P180 for 12 pcs.

I have to tell you, we've eaten a LOT of siomai and hakaw from different places and for the price, DEC's is one of the best! You can tell that by the people going there too. If you see a lot of chinky eyed fellas, you know it's good.

If you know other delis that have good dimsum, do tell. :)

Froyo baby!

Since I tortured my teeth by eating all those local junkfood for our class (dentist just added powerchains to my extractions yesterday that makes chewing SO PAINFUL) and almost burned my tongue from eating that extremely hot congee at Dave's tea house (it still stings up to now), I had to go to yoh-gurt froz to relieve myself from all those self-inflicted pain!

here's my frozen yogurt with blueberry kiwi cheesecake

this one is my friend's. it's blueberry cheesecake with chocolate syrup!

Small is P80 + P40 (for three top-ins) = P120 total :)
It's so nice to finally have a healthy (YET EXPENSIVE) alternative to icecream. <3

Chips galoooore!

Look at what marketing majors do!

WE EAT!

and EAT

and EAT

AND EAT!!!

I wasn't even able to take pictures of the other batches of chips because I was too busy munching myself! We also had Lays, Cheetos, Tostitos and Combos.

We were REQUIRED to taste and rate all the flavors of imported chips that are in the market (which was impossible but we did our best HAHA). Next meeting we'll be having local chips! Life is good. :)

AVATAR at SM North Edsa

I have finally watched Avatar! IT IS EPIC! JAMES CAMERON IS AWESOME. I promised my dad I'll watch it with him and I wanted to see it on IMAX. It keeps on getting postponed because we were lazy to buy tickets in advance. We decided to watch it on a weekday so that there will be less people. Good thing I don't have MWF classes and that my dad's office is basically his phone.

For a weekday there sure were a lot of people watching! We got there just in time for the trailers. I love watching trailers and I was especially giddy because it's in 3D.

IMAX lobby

Inside the theater. Taken using my cam phone hence the poor quality.

Since the movie is basically pure awesomeness, I'll just give my thoughts on the moviehouse! SM North Edsa's IMAX screen is not as big as the typical IMAX screens. At SM MOA, it's best to sit at the last row of the cinema. But at North Edsa, I think we made a mistake and should have chosen seats at the middle row. We didn't feel the 'swallowing' experience an IMAX cinema should have given us. No biggie though. I'm just wondering how different it is from normal 3D. The last 3D movie I saw was Spy Kids and our 3D glasses were made from cardboard and cellophane back then.

Oh thanks to Citibank's movie promo. We got P260 slashed of our ticket prices. Pretty good huh? Too bad the promo is over.

Zensho Tomas Morato

Zensho is one of my favorite "eat all you can" Japanese restaurants. I remember having a discount card waaaay back because my grade school tutormate is the son of the owner. I think they were still promoting the restaurant at the time. (now that I computed it, that was almost 10 years ago. O.O How time flies..) Two years ago we went there because of their 'order all you can' promo. Ever since then we go back there every so often!

Here's an old photo from the first time we dined here.

We were supposed to eat at Yakimix today but I wasn't looking forward to it because I've already eaten there twice this month. I was just so happy when the restaurant was full and we were 7th in line. So off we went to Zensho! :)

Zensho's sunday lunch buffet costs P485++ per person. Unlike most buffets, it's "order all you can" so the food is served ala carte. We got there at around 11:30 AM and there were a lot of reserved tables. So if you want to eat at tables with the teppanyaki grill you have to reserve beforehand.

We started off with their mixed sashimi. Unfortunately, you can only order sashimi this way. There were no solo sashimi orders. It's a mix of salmon, cuttlefish, tuna, blue marlin and crabstick.

FORTUNATELY, we were able to request salmon sashimi only! We had to talk to the manager because they were pretty strict about it.

Mixed sushi. Nothing special really.

I forgot what they called this. I call it green tea cold noodles! Don't forget to add that orange spice because it gives the noodles character. :)

Oyster Motoyaki. My favorite dish of all! BUTTERY GOODNESS!

Ebi Tempura. Their tempura is much better than Saisaki's and Yakimix'.

Oyster Teppanyaki. It looks kinda gross but I like it!

Yakitori

Steak teppanyaki! We also had lamb chops tepanyaki, Unfortunately, everyone attacked it before it was even photographed. Hahaha. Order your steak and lambchops medium so that they're soft and juicy. :)

Sukiyaki. This hot sweet and salty soup removes all the umay from my tongue!

Daddy loves his UNI. This isn't included in the buffet though. It costs P190 which is not bad considering that it's HUGE! I remember Teriyaki Boy's uni, it was tiny like me and it costs a little less.

We also had kani salad, california maki, tofu, yaki udon, lamb chop shioyaki, lamb chop teppanyaki.

Dining here is worth every penny. The only downside for me is that they don't have dessert. I always crave for something sweet after eating all those tasty food. Good thing there's yoh-gurt froz on the other side of the street. :)
